MASON RHODES

Among the Feathered is a pseudo-family portrait highlighting the nature of my relationship and feelings of alienation within my family. The larger etching displays a contoured rat constructed of emotion-driven lines that describe the rage, confusion, and pain I felt when being cast out of my family. The two windows peer into the content life the remainder of my family experienced in my absence, the smaller scale of these two windows is to exemplify the intimate and comforting nature of the incomplete family.
